You arrive in Merzouga and settle into a hotel at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes, with time to rest, swim in the pool in season and watch the dunes change colour. In the afternoon you visit the village of Khamlia and its Gnawa musicians, then ride a camel into the sand at sunset. Your second night is in a Berber camp among the dunes, with dinner, drums around the fire and a sky full of stars. After sunrise you ride back to the village for breakfast and a shower, with free time before you continue your journey.

    Arrive in Merzouga by early afternoon and settle into your desert guesthouse or riad. After a short rest, begin exploring the local area: visit the nearby village of Khamlia to enjoy live Gnawa music, meet Berber nomads living in the black desert, or take a 4x4 tour through the fossil plains and desert plateaus. In the late afternoon, begin your camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, catching the spectacular sunset on the way. Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where you'll be welcomed with mint tea and a delicious Moroccan dinner. After dinner, gather around the campfire for traditional drumming, storytelling, and a night beneath a blanket of stars.

    Day 2: Sunrise over the Dunes – Return to Merzouga & Free Exploration

    Wake early to experience the serene sunrise over the dunes—a quiet, unforgettable moment in the heart of the Sahara. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. Once back, take time to rest, shower, or explore the palm groves and surrounding desert landscapes at your leisure. Spend your final night in a cozy riad or guesthouse, where you can reflect on your desert adventure and enjoy a relaxed Moroccan dinner. This second night allows you to slow down and absorb the peaceful rhythm of the desert before departing the next morning to your next destination.
