Two nights in the desert change everything. On this camel trek you leave Merzouga with a Berber guide and a small caravan, and travel at the pace of the desert: walking in the cool morning, riding in the afternoon, resting in the shade at midday. The first night is in a camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi. The second day takes you out of the main dunes towards the flat reg and small oases, where you meet nomad families and see how they live, before a second night in a quiet camp far from everyone. On the third morning you cross the dunes again to return to Merzouga. A unique way to understand the Sahara.

    Day 1: Into the Erg Chebbi

    Meet at your hotel in the afternoon. Camel ride into the dunes, sunset and a night in a camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi.

    Day 2: Nomads and oases

    Morning walk over the dunes, then ride across the reg to a small oasis. Visit a nomad family, lunch in the shade and an afternoon trek to a remote camp. Dinner and a night under the stars.

    Day 3: Back across the dunes

    Sunrise, breakfast and the trek back over the dunes to Merzouga, arriving before lunch.
