This 5-day tour is for travellers who want the Sahara to be more than a quick stop. After the Middle Atlas and the Ziz valley, you spend two nights in Merzouga: the first in a hotel facing the dunes, the second in a desert camp after a full day exploring Erg Chebbi by 4x4, meeting a nomad family and listening to Gnawa music in Khamlia. Then the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs takes you west through the Todra Gorge to the Dades valley, and on through Skoura and Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou for the night. The last day is a short drive over the Tizi n'Tichka to Marrakech.

    Through Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest, Midelt and the Ziz valley to Merzouga. Sunset on the dunes and night in a hotel facing Erg Chebbi.

    4x4 tour of Erg Chebbi: black desert, nomad family, Khamlia and its Gnawa music, the lake. Camel trek at sunset and night in a desert camp.
