This 6-day itinerary is a round trip from Marrakech that combines city, desert and sea. After a guided first day in Marrakech, you set off over the High Atlas to the Dades valley, then through the Todra Gorge to Merzouga for a camel ride and a night in a desert camp. The return takes the southern road through Alnif and the Draa valley to Ouarzazate, so you never drive the same road twice. Back in Marrakech you have a free afternoon, and on the last day you enjoy the ocean breeze in Essaouira before the drive back to Marrakech or your flight from Essaouira airport.

    Arrival or pick-up. Guided visit of the medina and evening on Jemaa el-Fna. Night in Marrakech.

    Day 2: Marrakech to the Dades valley

    Over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, past Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate to the Dades valley. Night in the Dades valley.

    Day 3: Todra Gorge to Merzouga

    Todra Gorge walk, then the Tafilalet oases to Merzouga. Camel ride at sunset and night in a desert camp.

    Day 4: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

    Sunrise, then Alnif, Nekob and the Draa valley to Ouarzazate. Night in Ouarzazate.

    Day 5: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

    Ait Ben Haddou in the morning, then over the Atlas to Marrakech. Free afternoon. Night in Marrakech.

    Day 6: Essaouira

    Drive to Essaouira through the argan forest. Port, ramparts and medina, then back to Marrakech or drop-off at Essaouira airport.
