This 5-day one-way tour links Morocco's red city with its blue city, passing through the desert on the way. You leave Marrakech over the High Atlas, see Ait Ben Haddou and sleep in the Dades valley. On day two the Todra Gorge leads to Merzouga, where a camel takes you into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and a night in a desert camp. Day three crosses the Middle Atlas to Fes for an evening in the medieval medina. On day four, after a guided morning in Fes, you drive into the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen, where you have two nights to wander the blue lanes, watch the sunset from the Spanish Mosque and perhaps hike to the Akchour waterfalls.

Over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, past Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. Night in the Dades valley.

Day 2: Todra Gorge to Merzouga
Todra Gorge walk and the Tafilalet oases to Merzouga. Camel trek at sunset and night in a desert camp.

Day 3: Merzouga to Fes
Sunrise, then the Ziz valley, Midelt and the cedar forests to Fes. Evening walk. Night in Fes.

Day 4: Fes to Chefchaouen
Guided morning in Fes el-Bali, then into the Rif to Chefchaouen. Sunset at the Spanish Mosque. Night in Chefchaouen.
