If you love walking, this overnight trip into the High Atlas is the perfect break from the city. A local mountain guide leads you on trails above the Ourika valley, between terraced fields, walnut trees and earthen villages where life still follows the seasons. On day 1 you hike up the series of waterfalls above Setti Fatma, with a picnic by the water. You sleep in a simple and welcoming guesthouse in a Berber village, with dinner by the fire. On day 2 a different trail takes you across the hillsides to a viewpoint over the valley before the drive back to Marrakech. Walks last 3 to 5 hours a day and can be adapted to your level.

    Day 1: Marrakech to Ourika Valley

Arrive at Setti Fatma village and embark on a hike to the stunning Setti Fatma Waterfalls, passing several cascades and natural pools perfect for a refreshing stop.
