Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortress and filming location for many famous movies. Enjoy a guided walk through the red-clay ksar, then continue toward Ouarzazate, briefly stopping at the Taourirt Kasbah if time allows. In the late afternoon, travel through the Valley of the Roses to reach the dramatic Dades Valley, where you'll stay overnight in a guesthouse nestled among the cliffs.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast, drive through the rugged Dades Gorges, famous for their rock formations and winding roads. Continue to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge, where you can take a short walk between the towering cliffs. Stop for lunch in a local village and then proceed to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga and take a camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, reaching your desert camp just in time to watch the sunset. Spend the night under the stars in a Berber-style tent, enjoying local music and cuisine.

Wake early to witness a Sahara sunrise, then return to Merzouga on camelback for breakfast. Spend the day exploring the Merzouga region: visit Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music, explore local fossil sites, and meet nomadic families who live in the desert. You can also ride a 4x4 through the dunes or relax at your riad. This day allows you to truly connect with the culture, landscape, and rhythm of desert life. Optional second night in a desert camp or a hotel in Merzouga.

    Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, begin your drive north through Ziz Valley, known for its lush date palms and red rock cliffs. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the town of Midelt and the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot wild monkeys.
