This 6-day loop from Casablanca shows the green, Andalusian north of Morocco. You follow the Atlantic to Asilah, a whitewashed town of murals and ramparts, then reach Tangier, where Africa faces Europe across the Strait of Gibraltar. Through Tetouan and its UNESCO-listed medina you climb into the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous blue city, where you spend two nights with time to explore and hike. The road then crosses to Volubilis and Fes for a day in the world's oldest medina before you return to Casablanca via Meknes and Rabat. A perfect first trip to the north, with short drives and charming riads.

    Day 1: Casablanca to Asilah via Rabat

    Pick-up in Casablanca and short stop in Rabat at the Hassan Tower. Continue north along the Atlantic to Asilah for a walk through its white lanes and murals. Night in Asilah.

    Day 2: Asilah to Tangier

    Drive to Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, then explore Tangier: the kasbah, the medina, the Petit Socco and Café Hafa. Night in Tangier.

    Day 3: Tangier to Chefchaouen via Tetouan

    Visit Tetouan's white medina, then climb into the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen. Sunset at the Spanish Mosque. Night in Chefchaouen.

    Day 4: Chefchaouen and Akchour

    Morning walk in the blue medina with a local guide, then optional half-day hike to the Akchour waterfalls. Second night in Chefchaouen.

    Day 5: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis

    Drive south to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Moulay Idriss, then to Fes for an afternoon guided walk in the medina. Night in Fes.

    Day 6: Fes to Casablanca

    Morning in Fes, then drive back via Meknes and Rabat. Drop-off at your hotel or Casablanca airport.
