Five days is the comfortable way to travel from Tangier to Marrakech. You start with the blue town of Chefchaouen in the Rif, then continue to Fes for an evening and a morning in its medieval medina. The Middle Atlas and the Ziz valley lead you to Merzouga, where a camel takes you into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and a night in a desert camp. Instead of a very long drive to Marrakech the next day, you stop in the Dades valley after walking in the Todra Gorge. On the last day you visit Ait Ben Haddou and cross the High Atlas to arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

    Pick-up in Tangier, then via Tetouan to Chefchaouen. Afternoon in the blue medina and sunset at the Spanish Mosque. Night in Chefchaouen.

    Morning walk, then south to Fes. Afternoon in the medina. Night in Fes.
