Four days turns the Sahara trip from a race into a real journey. This private loop from Marrakech goes out by the Atlas and the Dades valley, where you spend the first night. On the second day you see the Todra Gorge and arrive in Merzouga for a camel trek at sunset and a night in a desert camp. The third day starts with sunrise and a visit to Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music, then takes the southern road through Alnif and the Draa valley to Ouarzazate. On the last day you visit Ait Ben Haddou in the morning light and cross the Atlas back to Marrakech. Shorter drives every day than the 3-day tour.

    Day 1: Marrakech to the Dades valley

    Over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, past Ouarzazate, Skoura and the Valley of Roses to the Dades valley. Night in the Dades valley.

    Day 2: Todra Gorge to Merzouga

    Walk in the Todra Gorge, then the oases of Tafilalet to Merzouga. Camel trek at sunset and night in a desert camp.

    Day 3: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

    Sunrise over the dunes, a visit to Khamlia and its Gnawa musicians, then via Alnif, Nekob and the Draa valley to Ouarzazate. Night in Ouarzazate.

    Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech

    Morning visit to the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, then over the High Atlas back to Marrakech.
