This 8-day tour from Casablanca keeps visits short, adds regular breaks and includes the experiences kids remember: running through the Roman ruins of Volubilis, feeding apples to the Barbary macaques in the cedar forest of Azrou, riding camels into the dunes, sandboarding, meeting a nomad family and listening to Gnawa drums in Khamlia. You stay two nights in Fes and two in Merzouga, including one in a comfortable desert camp with private bathrooms, then cross the kasbah valleys to Marrakech and its colourful gardens before returning to Casablanca.     Day 1: Casablanca and Rabat

    Pick-up in Casablanca and a short visit of the Hassan II Mosque. Drive to Rabat for the Kasbah of the Udayas and its gardens. Night in Rabat.

    Day 2: Volubilis and Fes

    Explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, with their mosaics of animals, then continue to Fes. Night in Fes.

    Day 3: Fes for families

    Half-day family walk in the medina with a guide: the tanneries, a pottery workshop and a bakery. Free afternoon at the hotel pool. Night in Fes.

    Day 4: Monkeys and the road to the desert

    Stop in the cedar forest of Azrou to see Barbary macaques, then drive through the Ziz valley to Merzouga. Night in a hotel with a pool.

    Day 5: Desert day

    Morning 4x4 visit to a nomad family and Gnawa music in Khamlia. Sunset camel ride and sandboarding, then night in a desert camp.

    Day 6: Dunes to the Dades valley

    Sunrise on the dunes, then the Todra Gorge, where children can paddle in the river. Night in the Dades valley.

    Day 7: Kasbahs to Marrakech

    Ait Ben Haddou, then over the High Atlas to Marrakech. Evening on Jemaa el-Fna with musicians and fresh orange juice. Night in Marrakech.

    Day 8: Marrakech to Casablanca

    Morning at the blue Majorelle Garden, then drive back to Casablanca. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
