This 8-day tour follows the most beautiful route across Morocco, from the medieval city of Fes in the north to Marrakech in the south, with the Sahara in between. From Casablanca you drive to Fes via Rabat and spend two nights there, with a guided day in its labyrinth of souks and workshops. The Middle Atlas, with its cedar forests and monkeys, leads you to Merzouga for two nights: a hotel at the foot of the dunes and a Berber camp after a camel ride. You then follow the Todra and Dades gorges and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ait Ben Haddou, cross the High Atlas to Marrakech and return to Casablanca.

    Day 1: Casablanca to Fes

    Pick-up in Casablanca, short stop at the Hassan Tower in Rabat, then Fes. Evening view over the medina from the Merinid Tombs. Night in Fes.

    Day 2: Guided day in Fes

    Licensed guide in Fes el-Bali: madrasas, tanneries, craftsmen and souks. Night in Fes.

    Day 3: Fes to Merzouga

    Ifrane, the cedar forest of Azrou, Midelt and the Ziz valley to Merzouga. Night in a hotel facing the dunes.

    Day 4: Desert day and camel trek

    Free morning or 4x4 tour of Khamlia. Sunset camel ride into Erg Chebbi and night in a Berber camp.

    Day 5: Todra and Dades gorges

    Sunrise over the dunes, the Todra Gorge and the Dades valley. Night in the Dades valley.

    Day 6: Road of a Thousand Kasbahs

    Valley of Roses, Skoura and Ouarzazate, then Ait Ben Haddou at sunset. Night near the ksar.

    Day 7: High Atlas to Marrakech

    Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakech. Afternoon in the souks and evening on Jemaa el-Fna. Night in Marrakech.

    Day 8: Marrakech to Casablanca

    Morning visit of the Koutoubia and Bahia Palace, then drive to Casablanca. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
