Short on time but dreaming of the Sahara? This 6-day trip from Casablanca reaches the desert quickly and returns through Fes. On day 1 you drive to Marrakech for an evening on Jemaa el-Fna square. On day 2 you cross the High Atlas, visit Ait Ben Haddou and reach the Dades valley. Day 3 takes you through the Todra Gorge to Merzouga for a sunset camel ride and a night in a Berber camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After sunrise you head north through the Middle Atlas to Fes, where a guide shows you the medina on day 5, before you return to Casablanca via Meknes and Rabat.

    Cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass, visit Ait Ben Haddou and drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades valley. Night in the Dades valley.

    Walk in the Todra Gorge, then drive via Erfoud to Merzouga. Sunset camel ride into the dunes and night in a Berber camp.
